Privacy Policy
This policy explains, in plain language, what information ssstiktok.media receives when you visit, why it is needed, how long it is kept and what control you have over it. It should be read together with our Terms of Use. Last updated: September 2026.
1. Who this policy covers
SSSTIKTOK ("we", "us", "our") operates the website ssstiktok.media and the installable web app served from it (together, the "Service"). This policy applies to everyone who opens the Service, whether you simply read a guide or paste a link into the downloader.
The Service is intended for people who are legally able to enter into an agreement in their own country. If the age of majority where you live is above eighteen, please use the higher age as the threshold. We do not knowingly ask for or keep personal details from children, and if we learn that a child has sent us information we delete it.
2. Information you give us directly
- The link you paste. A public post address is needed to prepare the file you asked for. The address is processed for that single request and is not attached to a profile about you.
- Messages you send. If you write to us about a fault, an advertising question or a copyright concern, we keep the message and the address you wrote from so we can reply and keep a record of the matter.
There is no sign-up on this website. We never ask for your name, a password, a postal address or any payment card details, and there is no account for anyone to break into.
3. Information collected automatically
Like every website on the internet, our servers write short technical records for each request. Those records can include your IP address, the approximate country it maps to, the browser and operating system reported by your device, the page you came from, the pages you opened and the date and time of the request.
These records exist for three reasons only: keeping the Service online, spotting automated abuse such as scripted flooding, and understanding which guides visitors actually read. They are aggregated for reporting and are never sold.
4. Files are not stored
We do not run a media library. When a link is processed, the file travels from the source platform to your device through a temporary connection and nothing is retained afterwards. We do not keep copies of clips, images or audio, and there is no archive of what any individual visitor has downloaded.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small text files a website can store in your browser. On this website they serve three purposes: keeping the page working correctly, remembering simple preferences so the interface does not reset, and measuring performance in aggregate. Advertising partners may also set their own cookies, as described below.
You can inspect, block or delete cookies from your browser settings at any time. Blocking them does not prevent you from pasting a link and saving a file. Our separate cookies page lists the categories in more detail.
6. Advertising partners
Advertising pays for the servers, which is why the tool is free to use. Third-party networks, including Google, may use cookies or device identifiers to select advertisements, to avoid showing you the same advertisement repeatedly and to measure whether a campaign worked. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites.
Those partners act under their own privacy policies, which you can read on their websites. You may opt out of personalised advertising in your Google Ads settings, and visitors in regions with consent rules will see a consent notice before non-essential cookies are set.
7. How we use the information
- To deliver the file or page you requested.
- To keep the Service stable, fast and protected from automated abuse.
- To diagnose faults reported by visitors.
- To measure, in aggregate, which pages and features are useful.
- To display advertising and to meet our legal obligations.
We do not build advertising profiles ourselves, we do not sell personal information, and we do not trade contact details with anyone.
8. When information may be disclosed
We may share limited information with the hosting and security providers that run our infrastructure, strictly so they can operate it for us. We may also disclose information where the law requires it, where a court or a competent authority makes a valid request, or where it is necessary to protect the rights and safety of visitors, creators or ourselves.
If the Service is used for something clearly unlawful, we may pass the relevant technical records to the authorities or to an affected rights holder.
9. How long information is kept
Technical server records are kept for a short operational period, normally a matter of weeks, and are then deleted or reduced to anonymous statistics. Correspondence is kept for as long as needed to resolve the matter and to show that we handled it properly.
10. Security
Traffic is encrypted in transit, access to our systems is limited to the people who maintain them, and we apply reasonable technical and organisational safeguards. No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure, so anything you send us travels at your own risk.
11. International transfers
Our servers and service providers may be located outside your country, so the technical records described above may be processed abroad. Where that happens we rely on providers that offer recognised safeguards for such transfers.
12. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live you may have the right to ask what information relates to you, to request its correction or deletion, to object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent for non-essential cookies. Practical steps you can take today include clearing cookies, using a private window, turning off personalised advertising and writing to us through the contact page.
13. Links to other websites
Advertisements and some guides point to websites we do not control. Once you leave this website, the privacy policy of the destination applies. Please read it before entering any personal information there.
14. Changes to this policy
When the Service changes, this page is updated and the date at the top is revised. Continuing to use the website after a revision means the updated policy applies to you.
15. Contact
Questions, requests and complaints about privacy can be sent through our contact page and we reply as quickly as we reasonably can.
